Back in 2009, our founder Diego Gopen was building browser-native augmented reality experiences and kept hitting the same wall: every time a destination changed, the printed marker had to be reprinted. So he separated the code from its destination, and the world's first dynamic QR code platform, uQR.me, was born.
Once I figured it out, I realized this could be used for way more than just AR.
Two founders became three. No investors. Just belief.
Co-founder Mauro Casula joined within weeks to lead the engineering, and Roberto Maggio later shaped the marketing direction. We built patiently, without venture funding, and outlasted the well-funded competitors that came and went.
We've had so many users come to us saying: the platform I was using disappeared, can you help? And we always say the same thing: Welcome home.
