What is the difference between Admin and Editor users?

QRCodeKIT offers two main user roles, each with different permissions and responsibilities: ADMIN and EDITOR. Understanding these differences is key to organizing teamwork and maintaining account security.

👑 ADMIN User

The ADMIN has full control over the platform. Their capabilities include:

  • Managing the entire account.
  • Changing general settings and preferences.
  • Handling subscription management (upgrade, downgrade, or cancel plans).
  • Accessing all projects and QR codes created.
  • Creating, editing, and deleting team users.

In short, the ADMIN oversees global administration and can perform any action within the system.

✍️ EDITOR User

The EDITOR role is more limited and focused on production tasks:

  • Access only to assigned projects and QR codes.
  • Ability to create and edit QR codes within those projects.
  • No access to account administration or subscription management.

This role is ideal for collaborators who need to work with QR codes but don’t require access to sensitive account or subscription settings.

✅ In summary: the ADMIN controls everything, while the EDITOR focuses on projects and QR codes.
