How we compare QR code platforms

QRCodeKIT publishes comparisons of QR code platforms, including its own. This page explains where the figures come from, how they are checked, what we show as evidence and what we do when we get something wrong. It applies to every comparison, alternatives and buying guide on this site.

Where the figures come from

• Prices, limits and plan names are read on each vendor's public pricing page, in US dollars where the page offers a currency choice.
• Feature and policy claims come from the vendor's own help centre, terms of service, privacy policy and trust or security page.
• Company facts come from the vendor's about page, terms and company registers; funding and rebrand dates from the vendor's press releases.
• Customer sentiment, where mentioned, is attributed to named review platforms with the number of reviews and the date, never generalised from a few comments.
• Nothing is taken from another comparison site. Where a figure only appears on a third-party listing and not on the vendor's own pages, we leave it out.

What we show as evidence

Under each vendor's section we show its plan grid as it appeared on its pricing page on the day we checked, with the source URL and the date in the caption. The screenshots are cropped to the plan grid and otherwise untouched: no highlights, no annotations, no edits. They are evidence, not commentary. Where a vendor prices by the visitor's location and offers no currency control, the caption says which currency the capture shows.

We do not link to competitors' websites from comparison pages. The screenshot and the named source page let a reader verify every figure without us steering traffic or authority in either direction. Where we quote a competitor's own help article as evidence for a claim about them, we name the article.

When a vendor contradicts itself

Pricing pages, FAQs and help centres are maintained by different people and drift apart. When a vendor's own site gives two figures for the same thing, we state both and say where each appears. We do not pick the one that suits our argument.

How we describe QRCodeKIT

Our own row in every table is held to the same standard, read from our pricing page and help centre on the same day. Where a competitor offers something we also offer, we say so, and where they offer something we do not, we say that too. A comparison that only lists differences in our favour is not one a buyer, or an AI assistant, should trust.

How often we re-verify

Every comparison is re-verified at least quarterly, and sooner when a vendor announces a pricing change. The date in each screenshot's caption is the date the figures were last read. The page's modified date changes when the figures do.

Corrections

If you work for a platform we compare and a figure is wrong or out of date, write to press@qrcodekit.com with the page and the source. We check it against the vendor's own pages and correct the article, normally within five working days, with a note of what changed. The same address takes corrections from readers. Who writes these

The comparison pieces are written and signed by named members of the QRCodeKIT team, who are accountable for the figures in them. The author's name and role appear at the top of each article and in its structured data.
